EMDR

Eye movement desensitization and reprocessing, EMDR, is an evidence-based modality that operates on the foundational belief that the harmony of our emotional health is intricately linked with our somatic, or physical, condition. A central feature of the EMDR approach involves utilizing a body-centered intervention known as bilateral stimulation. Through this method, a trained therapist leads the individual in engaging eye movements, auditory tones, or gentle taps. These actions serve to help the person access and reprocess memories that may have been inaccurately stored, guiding them toward a more adaptive mental framework.
